The VALUE COLLECTION CR-14 is a cartridge roll mandrel designed to hold and drive cartridge rolls during grinding, deburring, and surface finishing operations. It features a 3/16 inch pilot diameter and 1/2 inch pilot length, paired with a 1/4 inch shank diameter and 1 inch shank length for a 2.5 inch overall length. The quick-change design allows for fast cartridge roll swaps without removing the mandrel from the tool, reducing downtime in production and maintenance environments. Machinists, fabricators, and maintenance technicians use this mandrel with rotary tools, die grinders, and drill presses.
This mandrel is suited for use in metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production grinding applications where cartridge rolls are the preferred abrasive media. It works in tight bores, ports, and contoured surfaces where flexibility in abrasive selection is needed. The quick-change feature makes it practical for jobs that require frequent abrasive changes or multiple grit stages in a single session.
Designed as a standard replacement-style cartridge roll mandrel compatible with rotary tools and die grinders that accept a 1/4 inch shank, used with cartridge rolls having a 3/16 inch bore.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a standard chuck or collet that accepts a 1/4 inch shank. Ensure the rotary tool or die grinder is powered off and unplugged before changing the mandrel or cartridge roll. Verify that the cartridge roll bore matches the 3/16 inch pilot diameter before seating to prevent slippage during operation. Do not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the cartridge roll being used.
