The VALUE COLLECTION CNMG190612STN25 is a CNMG-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. Manufactured to ANSI insert code CNMG643 and ISO insert code CNMG190612, this insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a negative side clearance and a CVD-applied TiC/TiN coating. The coating provides wear resistance and thermal stability during continuous and interrupted cuts. With a 0.75 inch inscribed circle and a 0.0472 inch corner radius, this insert is suited for medium to finish turning passes where edge precision and surface finish matter. It is held in place via clamp or pin-lock toolholders and is appropriate for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.

This insert is intended for turning ferrous and stainless workpiece materials, corresponding to primary workpiece material codes M and P. Material grades C5, C6, and C7 indicate suitability for general steel, alloy steel, and stainless turning applications. The G-style chip breaker geometry supports chip control across a range of feed and depth-of-cut conditions. Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque driver for the clamp or pin-lock fastener as specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten, as this can crack the insert or damage the toolholder seat. Inspect the insert pocket and shim for debris or wear before seating a new insert.
