The VALUE COLLECTION CD552571 is a standard clevis pin designed for use in linkage assemblies, cotter pin connections, and general mechanical fastening applications. Manufactured from zinc-plated steel, this pin offers corrosion resistance suitable for light industrial and general-purpose use. It measures 0.5 inches in pin diameter with an overall length of 2.25 inches and a usable length of 2.09 inches. The 9/64-inch cross hole accepts a standard cotter pin or hitch pin clip to retain the pin in position. Machinists, maintenance technicians, and mechanical assemblers install this type of pin in clevis brackets, linkages, and actuator rod ends across a range of equipment.
This clevis pin is used in mechanical linkage systems found in light industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic cylinder mounts, and general fabrication applications. Its zinc-plated finish makes it appropriate for dry or mildly humid indoor environments. The 0.5-inch diameter fits standard clevis brackets sized for half-inch pins, and the 9/64-inch retention hole aligns with commonly available cotter pins and snap clips. It is sold in a package quantity of 25 pins, suitable for shop stock or production use.
Designed as a standard replacement or stock clevis pin for mechanical linkage assemblies requiring a 0.5-inch diameter pin with a 2.25-inch overall length and 9/64-inch cotter hole.
Clevis pins are installed by maintenance technicians and mechanical assemblers working on linkage and actuator systems. Before installing or replacing a clevis pin, de-energize or depressurize any connected hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical system to prevent uncontrolled movement. Insert the pin through aligned clevis and rod-end bores, then secure it with a cotter pin or hitch pin clip through the retention hole. Do not reuse a bent or worn cotter pin to retain the clevis pin.
