The VALUE COLLECTION C52000683 is a button socket cap screw designed for fastening applications that require a low-profile head and high corrosion resistance. The screw features a hex socket drive and a fully threaded shank with a 10-24 UNC thread size and a 3/8-inch length under head. Manufactured from 316 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this fastener delivers strong resistance to corrosion and oxidation in wet, marine, and chemical-exposure environments. It conforms to ANSI/ASME B18.3 standards and carries a 3A thread fit class for consistent engagement and reliable clamping force. This package contains 10 screws.
This button socket cap screw is suited for light to medium-duty fastening in applications where a flush or near-flush profile is needed. The low-dome button head reduces snag risk in exposed assemblies. Typical uses include equipment enclosures, panel mounting, instrumentation, and marine or outdoor hardware where standard hex cap screws would be unsuitable due to corrosion concerns. The right-hand thread direction is standard for most mechanical assembly work. Installers and fabricators working in food service, marine, or chemical processing environments often specify 316 stainless for its superior chloride resistance compared to 304-grade material.
Designed as a standard ANSI/ASME B18.3 button socket cap screw compatible with any 10-24 UNC tapped hole requiring a low-profile hex socket drive fastener in 316 stainless steel.
Installation requires a 1/8-inch hex key or hex socket driver. Verify that mating tapped holes are clean and free of debris before driving the screw. Do not exceed the torque capacity appropriate for the base material being fastened, particularly when threading into aluminum or plastic. When installing in corrosive or marine environments, inspect threads for galling before full seating, as stainless-to-stainless fastener assemblies can be susceptible to thread galling without proper lubrication.
