The VALUE COLLECTION C39067-7 is a partially threaded smooth flange bolt designed for high-strength fastening applications in industrial, mechanical, and structural assemblies. Built from Grade 8 alloy steel in an uncoated finish, this bolt delivers the tensile strength required in demanding service environments. The smooth flange bearing surface distributes clamping load across a wider area than a standard hex bolt head, reducing the need for a separate washer. The hex drive allows installation with standard hex tools. Thread size is 3/4-16 UNF with a length under head of 3 inches and a thread length of 1.75 inches, leaving a smooth shank section between the flange and the threaded portion.
This flange bolt is suited for heavy equipment, machinery frames, engine mounts, and fabricated structural connections where a unified fine thread (UNF) pattern is specified. The partially threaded configuration positions the unthreaded shank across the shear plane of the joint, which is common practice in load-bearing connections. It is installed by machinists, maintenance technicians, millwrights, and field service mechanics working to IFI 111 and SAE J429 standards. Applications span automotive, agricultural, and general industrial use where Grade 8 strength is the minimum acceptable specification.
Designed as a standard IFI 111 and SAE J429 Grade 8 partially threaded smooth flange bolt; fits any application calling for a 3/4-16 UNF flange bolt with a 3-inch length under head.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using standard hex sockets or wrenches. Always verify that the mating nut or tapped hole is rated for the same thread class and strength grade before torquing. De-energize or lock out any equipment before accessing fastener locations on live machinery. Do not mix Grade 8 hardware with lower-grade nuts or threaded inserts, as the assembly strength will default to the weaker component.
