The VALUE COLLECTION C2100610 is a Woodruff keyseat cutter designed for milling semicircular keyseats in shafts and mating components. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it delivers reliable cutting performance in harder materials where standard HSS tooling wears prematurely. The cutter features a 1.25-inch cut diameter, a 0.1875-inch (3/16 inch) cut width, and a straight tooth configuration with 14 teeth. The 1/2-inch shank connects directly to standard milling machine arbors, and the 2.1875-inch overall length keeps the tool compact for close-clearance setups. Machinists and tool-and-die technicians use this cutter for keyseat work on manual knee mills and CNC milling centers alike.
This cutter is suited for keyseat milling operations in general machining, maintenance, and repair environments. It conforms to ANSI Standard 610 (Old Standard 19), making it a recognized size in inch-based keyway systems. The bright, uncoated finish is typical for cobalt tooling used in ferrous and non-ferrous applications where coating interference with tight tolerances is a concern. Designed as a standard ANSI 610 Woodruff keyseat cutter compatible with 1/2-inch shank milling arbors and collets on conventional and CNC knee mills.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists on manual or CNC milling equipment. Secure the shank fully in the arbor or collet and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before tool changes or adjustments. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material and observe recommended speeds and feeds for cobalt HSS tooling.
