The cutter measures 0.875 inches in cut diameter and 0.1563 inches in cut width, with a 1/2-inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.1563 inches. With 10 teeth, this cutter conforms to ANSI Standard 507 (Old Standard Number 10), making it a direct fit for standard Woodruff keyseat applications on manual and CNC milling machines.
This cutter is suited for toolrooms, job shops, and maintenance machining operations where Woodruff keyseats are required in shafts for power transmission components such as gears, pulleys, and sprockets. The staggered tooth design makes it a practical choice for both light production runs and one-off machining tasks in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is appropriate for use in residential shop environments as well as light industrial and commercial machine shops.
Designed as an ANSI 507 standard Woodruff keyseat cutter compatible with standard milling machine spindles accepting a 1/2-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists on manual or CNC milling machines. Secure the shank firmly in a collet or end mill holder rated for the 1/2-inch shank before beginning any cut. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and the spindle is stopped before mounting or removing the cutter.
