The VALUE COLLECTION C11001012 is a Woodruff keyseat cutter designed for milling semicircular keyseats into shafts and hubs. Built from high speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish, it features a 1.5-inch cut diameter and a 0.3125-inch cut width, making it suitable for precision keyway work on machine components. The straight-tooth configuration provides clean, repeatable cuts in steel and other common engineering materials. This cutter is installed by machinists and tool and die technicians operating manual or CNC milling machines where keyseat accuracy is critical.
This cutter conforms to ANSI Standard 1012 (Old Standard 25), covering standard Woodruff key sizes used in power transmission assemblies such as shafts, gears, pulleys, and couplings. It is well-suited for job shop, maintenance, and production machining environments where consistent keyseat geometry is required. The 1/2-inch shank diameter fits standard milling machine arbors and collet chucks commonly found in both manual knee mills and CNC machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use Woodruff keyseat cutter conforming to ANSI Standard 1012, Old Standard 25, for use with 1/2-inch shank milling arbors and collet systems.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist on a milling machine. Ensure the machine is fully powered down and the spindle is locked before mounting or removing the cutter from the arbor or collet. Verify shank fit and runout before beginning the cut. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting depth of cut and feed rate.
