The VALUE COLLECTION BS27N0015 is a high speed steel jobber-length drill bit sized to No. 15 wire gauge, equivalent to 0.1800 inches in diameter. It features a 130-degree split-point-style standard point angle with web thinning applied at the tip, which reduces entry force and helps the bit self-center on the workpiece. The slow spiral flute geometry is optimized for chip evacuation in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. The bright, uncoated finish keeps the surface free of coatings that could alter hole tolerance in precision work. This bit is a standard shop tool used by machinists, maintenance technicians, and metalworkers across light manufacturing, HVAC fabrication, and general trade applications.
The BS27N0015 is suited for drilling aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials where a slow spiral flute and a sharp 130-degree point deliver clean entry and controlled chip removal. With a straight cylindrical shank measuring 0.1800 inches in diameter, it seats directly in standard drill chucks, drill presses, and hand drills without adapters. At 3.375 inches overall length with a 2.1875-inch flute length, it fits standard jobber-length chuck clearances on bench or floor-standing drill presses as well as portable hand drills used in field fabrication.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill bit compatible with any standard drill chuck accepting a 0.1800-inch straight cylindrical shank, including bench drill presses, floor drill presses, and portable electric hand drills. Conforms to ANSI specification for jobber-length drill bits.
This drill bit is installed and operated by machinists, metalworkers, and trade technicians using standard drill press or hand-drill equipment. Secure the straight shank firmly in a keyed or keyless chuck before operation, and confirm the workpiece is clamped or fixtured to prevent rotation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling non-ferrous metals to extend bit life and maintain hole quality. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace the bit if the point shows chipping or wear.
