The VALUE COLLECTION BS26N0002 is a No. 2 wire-size jobber-length drill bit ground from high speed steel (HSS) with a bright, uncoated finish. It cuts a 0.2210-inch diameter hole and features a 140-degree split point for fast penetration and reduced walking on entry. The fast spiral flute design clears chips efficiently during drilling. At 3.875 inches overall length with a 2.625-inch flute, this is a standard jobber proportion suited for general-purpose hole-making in production and maintenance environments. Right-hand cutting direction. Straight cylindrical shank fits standard three-jaw chucks.
This drill bit is designed for general-purpose use in metalworking, light fabrication, and maintenance applications. Primary workpiece materials include steel, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals, and wood. It is commonly used by machinists, millwrights, maintenance technicians, and sheet metal workers who need a reliable wire-gauge drill in a standard jobber length. The web-thinned, tapered web geometry reduces thrust requirements when drilling harder materials. Sold individually.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber drill for use in standard three-jaw drill chucks and compatible drilling equipment where a No. 2 wire-size (0.2210-inch) straight-shank bit is required.
Install and remove drill bits only when the spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling to prevent rotation or movement. Use cutting fluid when drilling steel to extend tool life and improve hole finish. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and resharpen or replace bits that show visible wear or chipping.
