The VALUE COLLECTION BOW-23853 is a female tab terminal designed for secure, insulated crimp connections in electrical wiring applications. The terminal features a heat shrink polyolefin sleeve that contracts around the wire upon heating, creating a moisture-resistant seal that protects the connection from environmental exposure. Compatible with 12 to 10 AWG wire, this terminal is suited for medium-gauge conductors commonly found in control wiring, HVAC low-voltage circuits, and general electrical assemblies. The 1/4 inch tab width accepts standard female disconnect connectors. RoHS compliant construction supports use in projects with material restriction requirements.
This female tab terminal is appropriate for residential and light commercial electrical work where a reliable, insulated crimp termination is required. Typical applications include HVAC control panel wiring, appliance lead connections, automotive harness repairs, and general electrical enclosure work. The partially insulated design allows the tab to mate with standard male spade connectors while the heat shrink sleeve covers and seals the wire barrel. Installation requires only basic crimping tools and a heat source to activate the shrink sleeve.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp terminal for use with 12 to 10 AWG conductors and standard 1/4 inch male spade or tab connectors in electrical wiring assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or trained technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit completely before making or breaking any terminal connections. Use a proper ratcheting crimp tool sized for the wire gauge to ensure full crimp engagement on the barrel, then apply a heat gun evenly over the polyolefin sleeve until it fully contracts around the wire jacket. Do not use an open flame directly on the sleeve, as uneven heating can compromise the seal.
