The VALUE COLLECTION BOW-23839 is a standard fork terminal designed for secure, low-resistance wire termination in electrical wiring applications. The terminal features a crimp-style connection with partial polyolefin insulation in blue, indicating compatibility with wire gauges in the 16-14 AWG range as is conventional for blue-coded terminals. The fork (spade) configuration allows the terminal to be installed and removed from a stud without fully disconnecting a nut, making it a practical choice for panel wiring, control circuits, and equipment grounding connections. Electricians and electrical technicians install this type of terminal during new construction wiring, service work, and control panel assembly.
This fork terminal is suited for use on number 8 or number 10 studs in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical applications. Typical install scenarios include terminal blocks, control panels, appliance wiring, and HVAC low-voltage control circuits where a reliable, semi-permanent crimp connection is required. The blue polyolefin insulation sleeve provides partial coverage over the barrel crimp zone, offering basic protection against abrasion and incidental contact. RoHS compliance makes this terminal appropriate for projects with environmental or export requirements.
Designed as a standard crimp fork terminal for use with number 8 and number 10 studs in general electrical wiring and control panel applications.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified electrical technicians. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before making any termination. Use a calibrated ratcheting crimp tool rated for the terminal barrel size to achieve a proper mechanical and electrical connection. Do not solder over a crimp connection and do not over-crimp, as either can compromise conductor integrity. Follow applicable NEC requirements for terminal and conductor sizing.
