The VALUE COLLECTION BNT22 is a non-insulated, crimp-on butt splice terminal designed to join two conductors in a single in-line connection. Built from copper contact material, this terminal accepts 4 AWG wire (22.00 sq mm) and measures 1.142 inches in overall length with an overall diameter of 0.445 inches. It is a two-entry terminal, meaning one wire feeds from each end and is secured by crimping. Electricians and experienced wiring technicians install this type of terminal in panel wiring, motor lead connections, and industrial control circuits where a low-profile, non-insulated splice is appropriate. It meets UL Listed and cUL Listed standards and is RoHS Compliant.
This butt splice terminal is suited for use in both commercial and industrial electrical applications where 4 AWG conductors must be spliced end-to-end without the need for an insulated sleeve. Common install scenarios include motor wiring, equipment grounding connections, and electrical panel modifications. The non-insulated design is typically used in applications where the splice will be covered by heat shrink tubing, tape, or housed inside an enclosure that provides mechanical protection. Sold in multiples of 25 per order.
Designed as an OEM-style crimp splice terminal for 4 AWG non-insulated butt splice applications in commercial and industrial electrical wiring systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before making any splice connections. Use a properly rated ratcheting crimp tool sized for the terminal and wire gauge to ensure a secure, low-resistance crimp. Because this terminal is non-insulated, apply appropriate insulation such as heat shrink tubing or electrical tape after crimping to meet code requirements.
