The VALUE COLLECTION BN5-FE is a non-insulated, crimp-on butt splice terminal designed to join two wire conductors in a single inline connection. Constructed from copper, this terminal accepts wire sizes ranging from 4 to 6 square millimeters and measures 0.591 inches in overall length with an overall diameter of 0.213 inches. The crimp-on design provides a secure, low-resistance mechanical and electrical bond without requiring solder. Electricians and electrical assemblers use this terminal in control wiring, panel builds, and field splicing applications where a clean, compact wire join is required.
This butt splice terminal is suited for residential and commercial electrical work, panel wiring, and industrial control applications where conductors in the 4 to 6 square millimeter range need to be joined end to end. Its non-insulated construction makes it appropriate for installations where the terminal will be covered by heat shrink, tape, or a shroud applied after crimping. The two-wire-entry configuration accepts one conductor from each end, completing a straight-through splice.
Designed as a standard crimp-on butt splice terminal for copper conductors in the 4 to 6 square millimeter wire size range, suitable for general electrical wiring and control panel applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before making any splice connections. Use a calibrated crimping tool rated for the terminal size to achieve a proper mechanical crimp — an undersized or oversized crimp can result in a high-resistance connection or pull-out failure. Because this terminal is non-insulated, apply an appropriate insulating cover such as heat shrink tubing over the completed splice before re-energizing the circuit.
