The VALUE COLLECTION BHS7X03008-100BX is an M3x0.5 button socket cap screw manufactured from A2 (18-8) stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. The button head profile provides a low-profile fastening solution with a 2 mm hex socket drive. Thread length under the head measures 8 mm and the screw is fully threaded, conforming to ANSI/ASME B18.3.4M and ISO 7380 standards. These fasteners are sold in a minimum order quantity of 100 pieces per box and are suited for mechanical assembly, light fabrication, and equipment maintenance applications where corrosion resistance and a clean head profile are required.
These button socket cap screws are appropriate for use in general mechanical assemblies, enclosures, panels, and fixtures where a flush or low-profile fastener head is preferred. The metric M3x0.5 thread size and standard 6G thread fit class make them compatible with standard metric tapped holes in steel, aluminum, and plastic components. Typical installers include maintenance technicians, millwrights, equipment assemblers, and trade professionals working on HVAC equipment frames, electrical enclosures, and plumbing fixture assemblies.
Designed for use in standard metric M3x0.5 tapped holes per ISO and ANSI/ASME metric fastener specifications. Suitable for steel, aluminum, and plastic assemblies requiring a low-profile button head fastener.
Install with a 2 mm hex key or hex socket bit driver. Ensure the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before threading to avoid galling, which can occur with stainless steel fasteners if installation is rushed or the threads are dry. Apply an appropriate anti-seize compound when fastening into stainless or aluminum to reduce the risk of thread galling. Tighten to the torque specification published in the applicable equipment service manual or ANSI/ASME B18.3.4M guidelines for M3 fasteners.
