The VALUE COLLECTION BDWM2S is a DTM Series wedgelock used to secure terminal positions within DTM-style automotive connectors. Wedgelocks lock individual terminals in place after insertion, preventing terminal pullback and maintaining a reliable electrical connection under vibration, thermal cycling, and mechanical stress. These components are installed by automotive technicians, fleet service professionals, and electrical harness assemblers working on connector repair or new harness builds. This package contains 10 wedgelocks, making it practical for bench stock or multi-connector service jobs.
DTM Series wedgelocks are used in automotive and light-duty vehicle wiring harness applications where sealed, vibration-resistant connector assemblies are required. Typical install scenarios include engine bay wiring, sensor harness repair, transmission control wiring, and other under-hood electrical connections. These wedgelocks are sized for the DTM connector series and are not interchangeable with other connector families.
Designed for use with DTM Series automotive connector housings as a terminal retention wedgelock. Confirm connector series and terminal size before installation.
Installation is performed by automotive electricians or harness technicians. Disconnect the vehicle battery before working on any wiring harness to eliminate risk of short circuit or unintended circuit activation. Terminals must be fully seated in the connector housing before the wedgelock is pressed into place. Do not force the wedgelock if resistance is felt, as this typically indicates a terminal is not fully inserted.
