The VALUE COLLECTION BDNA-24122 is a worm drive hose clamp rated SAE Size 48, designed to secure hose and tubing connections in plumbing, HVAC, pool, and general mechanical service applications. The band is fabricated from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability in wet or outdoor environments. It accepts a clamping diameter range of 2-9/16 inches to 3-1/2 inches, making it suitable for a wide variety of hose and tube outside diameters within that span. The 1/2-inch-wide band distributes clamping load evenly across the connection to reduce hose deformation and minimize the risk of leaks. Installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pool service professionals wherever a reliable, adjustable mechanical clamp is required.
This clamp fits standard hose and tubing with an outside diameter falling between 2-9/16 inches and 3-1/2 inches. Typical applications include securing radiator hoses, coolant lines, pool return and suction lines, flexible HVAC duct collars, and general plumbing connections where a worm drive clamp is the specified fastening method. The stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations exposed to moisture, mild chemicals, or temperature cycling common in HVAC and pool service environments.
Designed as a standard SAE 48 worm gear clamp for use with hoses and flexible tubing measuring 2-9/16 inches to 3-1/2 inches in outside diameter across plumbing, HVAC, pool, and general mechanical applications.
Installation is performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or pool service professionals using a flat-blade or hex-head screwdriver or nut driver. Relieve system pressure and drain or shut off fluid flow before removing or repositioning any hose clamp. Position the clamp at least 1/4 inch from the end of the hose and tighten gradually to avoid over-compression or band roll. Follow applicable codes such as IPC or IFGC for specific piping system requirements.
