The VALUE COLLECTION BDNA-15796 is a wrot copper 45-degree elbow fitting designed for sweat-connect copper piping systems. It accepts 1-1/4 inch nominal copper tube on both ends using a standard C x C (copper-to-copper) end connection, making it suitable for directional changes in pressurized water supply, hydronic heating, and general plumbing lines. Wrot copper construction provides reliable pressure ratings and clean soldering surfaces. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on residential and light commercial systems where a 45-degree offset is required in the pipe run.
This 45-degree elbow is used in applications requiring a moderate directional change without the sharp turn of a 90-degree fitting. Common install scenarios include domestic hot and cold water distribution, radiant and hydronic heating piping, and in-wall or under-slab rough-in work. The C x C configuration means both ends are sized for a standard sweat solder joint with 1-1/4 inch copper tube.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 1-1/4 inch nominal copper piping systems using sweat (solder) end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and depressurize the water supply line and allow all pipe sections to dry completely before soldering. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply an appropriate flux before applying heat. Use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water systems.
