The VALUE COLLECTION BDKP553356 is a rubber grommet designed to protect wires, cables, tubing, and hoses where they pass through sheet metal panels, enclosures, and bulkheads. With a 13/16 inch outside diameter, a 5/16 inch inside diameter, and an overall thickness of 1/2 inch, this grommet seats firmly in a punched or drilled panel hole to prevent abrasion and chafing on the material passing through it. The 9/16 inch slot diameter and 1/4 inch slot width allow for snap-in installation without disassembling the cable or conduit run. Durometer hardness of 60 gives the grommet enough flexibility to seat properly while maintaining a firm grip in the panel cutout. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers use grommets like this during panel fabrication and service work.
This grommet is suited for light industrial and commercial applications including electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment cabinets, plumbing access panels, and control boxes where wire or tubing penetrations require edge protection. The rubber construction resists moderate vibration, moisture, and the minor flexing typical of field-installed mechanical and electrical systems. It is sold in a package quantity of 25, making it practical for jobs requiring multiple penetrations in a single enclosure or across several units during a service run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or general-use grommet for sheet metal enclosures, electrical panels, HVAC equipment cabinets, and similar applications requiring a 13/16 inch OD panel cutout.
Grommets of this type are installed by electricians and HVAC or plumbing technicians during panel fabrication or service. De-energize any electrical enclosure and follow applicable NEC guidelines before working inside panels or control boxes. Press the grommet firmly into the panel cutout until the flange seats flush against both faces of the sheet metal. Verify the grommet is fully seated before routing wire or tubing through the opening to prevent edge contact and abrasion.
