The VALUE COLLECTION BDC427111 is a rubber grommet designed to protect wiring, tubing, and cables where they pass through panel cutouts, sheet metal, or bulkheads. With a 1/2 inch slot diameter, 1/16 inch slot width, and 3/8 inch inside diameter, this grommet seats into a drilled or punched hole and creates a protective barrier between the edge of the opening and the material running through it. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and plumbers commonly install these where low-voltage wiring or refrigerant tubing exits an enclosure or cabinet panel. Each pack contains 50 individual grommets.
This grommet is suited for residential and light commercial applications where wiring or tubing penetrates sheet metal panels, junction boxes, or equipment cabinets. Typical uses include routing thermostat wiring through furnace cabinets, protecting line sets or control wiring at panel entry points, and securing cable runs through electrical enclosures. The rubber construction provides flexibility for installation and a snug fit around the penetrating material to reduce vibration and abrasion wear.
Designed as a general-purpose rubber grommet for use in sheet metal panels, electrical enclosures, HVAC equipment cabinets, and similar applications requiring cable or tubing protection at a penetration point.
Installation does not require specialized tools — the grommet seats by hand into a clean, properly sized hole. Confirm the panel opening matches the slot diameter before installation. Power down any electrical equipment before routing wiring through the grommet. Inspect the grommet for tears or deformation after seating to ensure full coverage of the panel edge.
