The VALUE COLLECTION BD9681 is a rubber grommet designed to protect wires, cables, tubing, and hoses where they pass through panel cutouts, bulkheads, and sheet metal edges. The grommet seats into a panel hole and cushions the through-passage against abrasion, vibration, and sharp metal edges. With a 5/16 inch outer diameter, a 1/8 inch inside diameter, a 7/32 inch slot diameter, and a 1/16 inch slot width, this grommet fits standard panel penetrations common in HVAC equipment, electrical enclosures, and plumbing panels. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and panel fabricators install these during rough-in and service work wherever wire protection at a panel edge is required.
This grommet is suited for light-duty wire and cable management in residential and commercial applications. Typical uses include protecting low-voltage control wiring, thermostat leads, and sensor cables at sheet metal cabinet knockouts on furnaces, air handlers, and electrical control panels. The slot design allows the grommet to be installed over an existing wire without requiring the wire to be threaded through, which speeds up service work on live assemblies. Sold in a pack of 50, this part is practical for stocking in a service van or shop for repeated use across multiple jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use grommet for standard small-diameter panel cutouts in HVAC equipment, electrical enclosures, and similar sheet metal assemblies requiring wire pass-through protection.
Grommets of this type are installed by electricians and HVAC technicians following NEC and equipment manufacturer guidelines for wire protection at enclosure penetrations. De-energize all circuits before working inside any electrical panel or control cabinet. Press the grommet firmly into the panel cutout until the flange seats flush against both faces of the material. Inspect the grommet for tears or deformation after installation to ensure continuous insulation protection.
