The VALUE COLLECTION BD3259 is a mounted flap wheel designed for deburring, blending, and surface finishing on metal and other hard materials. It uses an aluminum oxide coated abrasive rated at medium grade with an 80 grit specification, making it well suited for general-purpose material removal and edge work. The wheel mounts via a 1/4-inch shank for direct use in a die grinder or rotary tool, and carries a maximum speed rating of 30,000 RPM. At 1-1/2 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch in face width, it reaches confined areas and internal contours that flat abrasives cannot access. Machinists, fabricators, and tool-and-die professionals typically reach for this style of wheel for cleanup and finishing work.
This mounted flap wheel is intended for use with pneumatic or electric die grinders in shop and field applications. Its coated aluminum oxide construction handles mild steel, stainless, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The 1/4-inch shank is a standard collet size compatible with the vast majority of die grinders and rotary tools used in metal fabrication, automotive body work, weld blending, and maintenance trades. The medium-grade 80 grit removes material efficiently while leaving a finish that can proceed directly to finer grit stages or surface treatment.
Designed for use with standard 1/4-inch collet die grinders and rotary tools rated to handle mounted abrasive accessories up to 30,000 RPM.
Install the shank fully into the die grinder collet and tighten securely before operation. Verify the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the 30,000 RPM maximum stamped on the wheel — never exceed the rated speed. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when operating any mounted abrasive. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and discard if flaps are torn, the shank is bent, or the arbor bond shows signs of separation.
