The VALUE COLLECTION BD3057 is a Type 27 depressed center grinding wheel designed for use with standard angle grinders in metal fabrication, welding preparation, and surface grinding applications. Built with an aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded in a resinoid matrix, this wheel delivers consistent stock removal on ferrous metals and hard materials. The 4.5-inch diameter and 1/8-inch thickness make it a direct fit for common 4.5-inch angle grinders, and the 7/8-inch arbor hole accepts standard arbor flanges. A maximum rated speed of 13,300 RPM keeps it within the operating range of most corded and cordless grinders in that size class. Fabricators, welders, and metalworkers are the primary users of this wheel type.
The BD3057 is suited for grinding, blending, and light material removal on steel, iron, and similar hard metals. It fits the typical residential shop, commercial fabrication environment, and field maintenance scenario where a compact 4.5-inch angle grinder is the tool of choice. The Type 27 depressed-center profile provides clearance for the grinder body when working flush to a surface, making it practical for weld seam removal and edge cleanup. Sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 5 units.
Designed as a standard replacement or consumable grinding wheel for 4.5-inch angle grinders accepting a 7/8-inch arbor and rated for Type 27 depressed center wheels at or above 13,300 RPM.
Installation should be performed by the tool operator following the grinder manufacturer's guard and flange requirements. Always confirm the grinder's rated no-load RPM meets or exceeds the wheel's 13,300 RPM maximum before mounting. Disconnect power or remove the battery before changing the wheel, and use the correct arbor flanges and locking wrench per the grinder's manual. Always inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never exceed the rated maximum RPM.
