The VALUE COLLECTION BD-MP23559 is a wing-style twist-on wire connector rated for use with 2 AWG minimum wire size. The red housing is molded from a flame-retardant, corrosion-resistant thermoplastic shell, making it suitable for general electrical wiring in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications. The wing tabs allow for a secure hand-grip during installation, reducing the effort needed to achieve a reliable twist connection. Each connector is UL Listed and rated for a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees F. Sold in a pack of 50 units.
Wing twist-on connectors are used by licensed electricians and electrical contractors to join copper conductors in junction boxes, panel wiring, fixture installations, and general branch-circuit splicing. The red color coding helps technicians quickly identify wire gauge range on the job. This connector is appropriate for dry, damp, and corrosion-prone environments where flame-retardant properties are required by code or specification.
Designed for use with 2 AWG minimum copper conductors in standard twist-on wire connector applications. Verify conductor count and total wire cross-section against the connector's published range before installation.
Wing twist-on connectors are installed by licensed electricians in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for conductor splicing. Always de-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage with a meter before making any connections. Strip conductors to the appropriate length, align conductors, and twist the connector clockwise until firm resistance is felt. Do not over-torque by using pliers on the shell, as this can crack the housing.
