The VALUE COLLECTION BD-29788 is a cartridge-style, time delay fuse rated at 20 amps and 250 volts. It features a glass and ceramic body construction and is sized at 1.25 inches overall length with a 0.25-inch diameter, conforming to the standard mini fuse cartridge form factor. The time delay characteristic allows brief inrush currents to pass without nuisance tripping, making it suited for motor loads and transformer primaries. UL Listed construction meets common circuit protection requirements. Sold in packs of 5, this fuse is a routine service item for electricians and HVAC technicians replacing blown protective fuses in equipment panels and control circuits.
This fuse is appropriate for use in low-voltage control circuits, small appliance panels, HVAC equipment control boards, and other applications requiring overcurrent protection at up to 250 volts AC. The mini cartridge form factor is commonly found in fuse holders and fuse blocks on residential and light commercial equipment. The time delay rating makes it suitable for circuits where motor startup or transformer inrush current would otherwise cause a fast-blow fuse to trip prematurely. Each pack contains 5 fuses, providing enough quantity for a standard service call or stock replenishment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge time delay fuse for equipment fuse holders and fuse blocks accepting a 1/4-inch diameter by 1-1/4-inch mini cartridge fuse rated at 20 amps and 250 volts.
Fuse replacement should be performed by a qualified electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing a fuse. Confirm the replacement fuse amperage, voltage, and time delay rating match the equipment manufacturer specifications exactly before installation. Never substitute a fuse with a higher amperage rating as this defeats overcurrent protection.
