The VALUE COLLECTION BD-18420 is a channel nut without spring designed for securing 1/4 inch conduit within strut channel systems. This hardware component slides into standard strut channel and accepts a threaded fastener to clamp conduit, pipe, or other support elements firmly in place. Without a spring, the nut relies on manual positioning before fastening, which suits applications where the installer wants precise, fixed placement prior to tightening. Electricians and pipefitters use these nuts as a core component in strut-based support assemblies across commercial and industrial installations. Each package contains 10 nuts.
This channel nut is compatible with 1-1/2 inch and 1-5/8 inch strut channel profiles, covering the two most common channel sizes used in electrical conduit support, mechanical piping, and HVAC duct support systems. It is suited for both new construction and retrofit applications where strut channel is already in place. The springless design is common in overhead and wall-mounted conduit runs where installers stage hardware before final torque. Sold in a pack of 10, this item is appropriate for both small service calls and larger conduit routing projects.
Designed for use with 1-1/2 inch and 1-5/8 inch strut channel. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-install component in standard strut channel support systems where a springless 1/4 inch channel nut is required.
Installation is typically performed by licensed electricians or pipefitters working with strut channel support systems. De-energize all circuits in the work area before positioning conduit and fastening hardware per NEC requirements. Slide the nut into the channel slot before positioning the conduit fitting, then tighten the fastener to secure the assembly. Do not over-torque, as this may deform the channel nut or distort the strut channel flanges.
