The VALUE COLLECTION BD-17541 is a steel compression-style coupling designed for joining EMT (electrical metallic tubing) conduit sections in standard electrical installations. Rated for 3/4 inch trade size EMT, this non-insulated fitting secures conduit runs without the need for threading or set screws. The compression connection type provides a reliable mechanical bond that meets water-resistant application requirements, making it appropriate for both dry and wet-location raceways. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors use this type of coupling during rough-in work and conduit system extensions in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. Each package contains 2 couplings.
This coupling fits 3/4 inch trade size EMT conduit and is intended for water-resistant area-of-application environments. Compression couplings are commonly installed where a tool-tightened, rain-tight or wet-location-rated connection is required, such as exterior wall penetrations, exposed conduit runs in mechanical rooms, or conduit entering weatherproof enclosures. The steel construction provides the structural integrity expected in conduit systems subject to physical contact or mechanical stress. No insulated liner is included, consistent with standard EMT compression coupling design for metallic conduit systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment coupling for 3/4 inch trade size EMT conduit systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for EMT conduit systems. De-energize all circuits in the affected conduit run before beginning work. Tighten the compression nut using the appropriate wrench to the fitting manufacturer's recommended engagement — do not overtighten, as this can deform the conduit or damage the fitting body. Inspect the conduit ends for burrs or deformation before seating them in the coupling to ensure a proper compression seal.
