The VALUE COLLECTION BD-17531 is a compression-style conduit connector designed for use with electrical metallic tubing (EMT). It provides a secure, straight-run connection between EMT conduit and an enclosure or junction box knockout. Built from steel with an insulated throat, this connector resists vibration loosening and protects wire insulation at the entry point. The compression connection method eliminates the need for set screws, creating a water-resistant joint that meets typical damp-location wiring requirements. This connector ships in a pack of two and is suited for installation by licensed electricians on both new construction and retrofit projects.
This connector is rated for 3/4 inch trade size EMT and is used in residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations. Common applications include panel feeders, branch circuit rough-in, and conduit stub-ups into enclosures and load centers where a clean, secure, water-resistant termination is required. The insulated throat helps protect conductors from abrasion at the point of entry, making it appropriate for installations where conductor protection at box penetrations is a code concern.
Designed for use with 3/4 inch trade size EMT conduit as an OEM-style compression connector for standard electrical enclosures and junction box knockouts.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before making any conduit or wiring connections. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the EMT, then snug with appropriate pliers or a conduit wrench — do not over-tighten, as this can deform the compression ring and compromise the seal. Verify the insulated throat is properly seated before pulling conductors through.
