The Value Collection BD-16872 is a 1-1/4 inch CPVC plastic pipe union designed for joining and disconnecting sections of CPVC piping systems in plumbing and chemical-handling applications. The union features an EPDM o-ring seal at the mating face, which provides a reliable, leak-resistant connection without the need for additional thread sealant at the union joint itself. Female iron pipe thread (FIPT) end connections on both sides allow the fitting to thread onto male-threaded pipe or fittings. CPVC construction provides resistance to corrosion and elevated temperatures beyond what standard PVC can handle, making this union appropriate for hot and cold water distribution lines.
