The VALUE COLLECTION BC04P0007 is a combination drill and countersink designed for precision hole preparation and seat-forming in a single operation. Built from cobalt tool steel with a bright, uncoated finish, this tool handles harder workpiece materials where standard high-speed steel bits wear prematurely. The body measures 5/8 inches in diameter with a 1/4-inch drill point diameter and a 3-1/4-inch overall length. The 118-degree drill point angle and 60-degree included angle on the countersink portion are standard geometry for most fastener seat profiles. At 0.19 pounds, it is compact and lightweight for bench or portable drill press use by machinists, fabricators, and tool-room technicians.
This combo drill countersink is suited for metalworking applications requiring a countersunk seat ahead of flat-head fastener installation. Trade Size 7 positions it for medium-diameter fastener prep work on steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous or hard alloy workpieces. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard drill press and hand-drill chuck rotation. The double-end style and plain cutting edge keep setup straightforward. It is typically used in fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and production environments where consistent countersink geometry is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct substitute for Trade Size 7 combo drill countersinks used in standard metalworking and fabrication applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or fabrication technicians using a drill press or hand drill with a compatible chuck. Secure the workpiece firmly before operation to prevent movement during the combined drilling and countersinking pass. Use appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain finish quality. Follow applicable shop safety standards for rotating cutting tools, including eye protection and proper spindle speed selection for the material being machined.
