The VALUE COLLECTION B90R 50X25 is a black malleable iron 90 degree reducing elbow designed for threaded pipe systems in plumbing, mechanical, and industrial piping applications. This Class 150 fitting transitions from a 2 inch inlet to a 1 inch outlet while making a 90 degree directional change. Rated to 300 psi for liquid and gas service, it is built from malleable iron with a black finish for corrosion resistance in above-ground installations. Compliance with NSF/ANSI 61 and NSF/ANSI 372 makes it suitable for potable water systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this type of fitting.
This reducing elbow is used in residential and commercial piping systems where a direction change and pipe size reduction are needed at the same connection point. Typical applications include gas distribution piping, water supply lines, compressed air systems, and general industrial fluid handling. The threaded end connections conform to ISO 7/1 and GB/T 7306.2 taper thread standards, and the fitting meets EN 10242 dimensional standards. It is well suited for close-quarters runs where a separate reducer and elbow would consume too much space.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Class 150 threaded malleable iron piping systems with a 2 inch to 1 inch reducing 90 degree configuration.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes such as the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or local jurisdiction requirements. Shut off and depressurize the affected piping system completely before removing any existing fittings or making new connections. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-torque threaded connections in malleable iron fittings, as this can crack the fitting body.
