The VALUE COLLECTION B90 65 is a black malleable iron 90 degree reducing elbow rated for Class 150 service. It features threaded end connections and a black finish, making it a standard choice for gas, water, and industrial piping systems. Rated to 300 psi, this fitting handles the pressure demands of typical commercial and residential installations. At 4.46 pounds, the casting is solid and built to the dimensional standards required by multiple international certifications including NSF/ANSI 61 and FM Approval. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting where a directional change and reduction are needed in a single component.
This elbow is suited for threaded pipe assemblies in residential and commercial plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical gas piping. The 2-1/2 inch size targets main distribution runs and branch connections in mid-to-large diameter systems. Its black finish is standard for gas distribution piping where galvanized fittings are not acceptable. The combination of certifications makes it appropriate for potable water contact under NSF/ANSI 61 and low-lead compliance under NSF/ANSI 372.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for threaded malleable iron pipe systems sized at 2-1/2 inches, conforming to Class 150 pressure ratings in plumbing, gas, and fire protection piping assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with the applicable edition of the International Plumbing Code or International Fuel Gas Code. Shut off and depressurize the affected piping system completely before removing any existing fittings or cutting into the line. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly, and tighten to hand-tight plus the number of turns recommended by the sealant manufacturer. Pressure-test the completed assembly before returning the system to service.
