The VALUE COLLECTION B8MSTFE0625C450 is a fully threaded stud in 5/8-11 UNC thread, manufactured from 316 stainless steel to ASTM B8M standards. The stud runs 4.5 inches overall length with threading along the full length, providing maximum engagement flexibility for through-hole and double-nut fastening applications. The uncoated plain finish preserves the natural corrosion resistance of the 316 alloy. Thread fit is Class 2A, the standard external thread tolerance class for general-purpose mechanical fastening. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, millwrights, and mechanical contractors reach for this type of hardware when corrosion resistance and tensile integrity are both required.
This fully threaded stud is suited for marine, chemical processing, food service, and industrial piping environments where 316 stainless steel is specified for its resistance to chlorides and aggressive media. The right-hand thread and Class 2A fit make it interchangeable with standard hex nuts, coupling nuts, and flanged hardware of the matching thread series. Typical applications include flange bolting, equipment mounting, and structural connections where a standard hex bolt head would create interference or where double-nut torquing is preferred.
Designed for use with any standard 5/8-11 UNC hex nut, coupling nut, or threaded insert in the matching thread class. Suitable for applications requiring B8M-grade 316 stainless steel fasteners per ASTM specifications.
Installation is typically performed by pipefitters, millwrights, or mechanical contractors using standard open-end or box wrenches and appropriate torque equipment. Always verify that mating nuts and threaded components share the same thread series and class before assembly. Follow applicable codes and engineering specifications for torque values, as these are determined by joint design and are not specified by the fastener alone. Inspect threads for damage before installation and replace any fastener showing galling, corrosion pitting, or deformation.
