The VALUE COLLECTION B8MSTFE0500C575 is a fully threaded stud with a 1/2-13 Unified National Coarse thread form and an overall length of 5.75 inches. Manufactured from 316 stainless steel to ASTM B8M standards, it carries a Class 2A external thread fit, which provides a standard tolerance suitable for most structural and mechanical fastening applications. The uncoated finish leaves the base material exposed, relying on the corrosion resistance inherent to 316 stainless steel. This fastener is installed by maintenance mechanics, pipefitters, plumbers, and HVAC technicians wherever a corrosion-resistant, fully threaded connection point is required.
This stud is well-suited for use in wet, chemical, or marine environments where standard carbon steel fasteners would corrode. Typical applications include pipe flange assemblies, pump and valve mounting, HVAC equipment frames, and general industrial mechanical assemblies that require a through-bolt or double-nut fastening arrangement. Right-hand thread direction is standard, making it compatible with conventional hardware and tooling. The 316 alloy grade offers elevated resistance to chloride and acidic environments compared to 304 stainless steel.
Designed as a standard 1/2-13 UNC fully threaded stud for use with any compatible 1/2-13 hex nut, coupling nut, or threaded insert in mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC structural fastening applications.
Install using standard 1/2-inch drive or combination wrenches with appropriately rated 1/2-13 nuts. De-energize or depressurize any system before replacing or installing fasteners in live assemblies. Avoid mixing 316 stainless steel studs with dissimilar metals in corrosive environments to minimize galvanic corrosion risk. Follow applicable mechanical codes and torque tables for 1/2-13 stainless fasteners as specified in the project engineering documentation.
