The VALUE COLLECTION B52001680 is a nylon insert hex lock nut designed to resist vibration loosening in threaded fastener assemblies. Built to Grade 2 steel with a zinc finish for basic corrosion resistance, this nut uses a nylon insert locking element that grips the mating thread after the nut is fully seated. The 1-1/4-7 UNC thread size suits heavy structural and mechanical applications. Standing 1-25/64 inches high with a 1-13/16 inch width across flats, this nut is installed by mechanics, millwrights, and general tradespeople wherever a prevailing-torque locking fastener is required.
This hex lock nut is used in general industrial, mechanical, and construction assembly applications where vibration or dynamic loading could cause standard nuts to back off. The right-hand thread direction and UNC thread form make it compatible with standard inch-series threaded rod, bolts, and studs commonly found in structural steel, equipment mounting, and heavy-duty fabrication work. Sold individually per package with a minimum order quantity of 70 pieces, making it suitable for production or maintenance stock replenishment.
Designed as a standard UNC inch-series prevailing-torque replacement or stock nut for use with 1-1/4-7 threaded bolts, studs, and threaded rod in general mechanical and structural assemblies.
Install using the appropriately sized open-end, box-end, or socket wrench sized to the 1-13/16 inch across-flats dimension. Nylon insert lock nuts are intended for single-use applications — the locking element loses retention effectiveness after removal and reuse is not recommended. Ensure mating threads are clean and free of damage before installation. No special tools or torque equipment are required beyond standard hand or power wrenching for typical non-critical assemblies; consult applicable fastener torque tables for structurally loaded joints.
