The VALUE COLLECTION B165 32 is a 45-degree lateral Y-branch pipe fitting designed for threaded piping systems in plumbing, fire protection, and industrial gas or liquid distribution. Machined from malleable iron with a black finish, this Class 150 fitting handles liquid and gas pressure up to 300 psi. The 1-1/4 inch threaded end connections conform to ISO 7/1 and GB/T 7306.2 thread standards, making it suitable for both domestic and internationally specified installations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and fire suppression contractors are the primary installers of this type of fitting in commercial and industrial settings.
This fitting is suited for use in black iron piping systems commonly found in commercial gas distribution, fire sprinkler branch lines, and industrial process piping. The 45-degree lateral wye geometry allows a branch line to be taken off the main run at an angle, reducing turbulence compared to a standard 90-degree tee. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit applications where a threaded branch connection is required in a Class 150 system.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Class 150 threaded malleable iron piping systems with 1-1/4 inch connections in gas, liquid, or fire protection applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable codes, including the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) as required by the service type. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male threads before assembly; do not overtighten, as malleable iron threads can be damaged by excessive torque. Verify that the fitting orientation and branch angle are correct before pressurizing the system and performing a leak test.
