The VALUE COLLECTION B121 15 is a 45-degree street elbow designed for threaded pipe assemblies in gas and liquid distribution systems. Constructed from malleable iron with a black finish, this Class 150 fitting handles a pressure rating of 300 psi, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial piping applications. The 1/2-inch fitting size covers one of the most common pipe sizes encountered in plumbing, HVAC, and gas distribution work. It meets ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 and ASME B16.3 standards, confirming dimensional accuracy and thread compatibility for reliable, code-compliant installations. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This 45-degree street elbow is used wherever a directional change is needed in a threaded pipe run without the need for a nipple between fittings. The street configuration — with one male and one female threaded end — allows direct connection into an existing female-threaded fitting or valve, saving space and reducing the number of components in tight installations. Typical applications include residential and light commercial gas lines, water supply piping, and steam or condensate systems operating within Class 150 pressure limits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/2-inch threaded malleable iron pipe systems operating under Class 150 service conditions in plumbing, gas distribution, and HVAC applications.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, or HVAC technicians in accordance with applicable local codes, the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), or the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly, and tighten to a snug, leak-free connection using pipe wrenches. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before disassembling any existing piping or installing this fitting. Do not over-torque malleable iron fittings, as cracking can occur.
