The VALUE COLLECTION A410095 is a fully threaded hex head cap screw engineered to metric dimensions and manufactured from Grade 316 austenitic stainless steel, also designated Austenitic Grade A4. With a thread size of M12 x 1.75 and a length under head of 65 mm, this fastener is sized for medium-to-heavy-duty bolted joints in corrosion-exposed environments. The 19 mm hex drive allows installation with standard metric wrenches or sockets. It conforms to DIN 933, the metric standard for fully threaded hex head cap screws, making it a direct fit wherever that specification is called out on engineering drawings or maintenance procedures.
Grade 316 stainless steel provides superior chloride and chemical resistance compared to Grade 304, making this screw well suited for marine hardware, chemical processing equipment, food service installations, HVAC equipment exposed to outdoor or coastal environments, pool and water treatment systems, and plumbing assemblies where moisture or salt exposure is a concern. The uncoated finish is appropriate where the base alloy's corrosion resistance is sufficient and where added plating thickness could affect thread fit. Sold in a package quantity of 5 with a minimum order quantity of 1 package.
Designed as a DIN 933-compliant metric hex head cap screw for use in any application specifying an M12 x 1.75 fully threaded fastener in Grade 316 or Austenitic Grade A4 stainless steel.
Installation is performed with a 19 mm open-end, box, or socket wrench; impact tools are acceptable when torque is controlled to avoid thread galling, which is a known risk with austenitic stainless fasteners. To reduce galling, apply an appropriate anti-seize compound to the threads before installation. Ensure mating hardware material is compatible with Grade 316 stainless to minimize galvanic corrosion. Follow applicable mechanical or structural codes for torque requirements based on joint design.
