The VALUE COLLECTION 96446 is a welded 316 stainless steel tube designed for fluid transfer, instrumentation, and light structural applications in trade and industrial settings. With a 1/8 inch outside diameter and a 0.016 inch wall thickness, this small-diameter tube delivers a 0.093 inch inside diameter suited to precision flow and sensing line work. The 316 material grade provides enhanced corrosion resistance compared to 304, making it appropriate for environments exposed to chlorides, mild acids, or marine conditions. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipefitters typically specify this tube for instrument sensing lines, capillary runs, and small-bore process connections. Each piece runs 6 to 7 feet in length and weighs approximately 0.13 pounds.
This tube is used in residential and commercial mechanical systems where small-bore stainless tubing is required. Typical applications include refrigeration sensing lines, pneumatic instrument tubing, hydraulic pilot lines, and chemical feed runs where corrosion resistance is a priority. The welded construction makes it well suited to low-to-moderate pressure instrumentation service. It is sold individually per piece with a minimum order quantity of 3 units, making it practical for service contractors stocking small-diameter stainless fittings and tube assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or stock supply tube for small-bore instrumentation, sensing line, and light fluid-transfer applications requiring 1/8 inch OD 316 stainless steel tubing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber, pipefitter, or instrumentation technician in accordance with applicable IPC or ASME B31.1/B31.3 guidelines for the service application. Shut off all system pressure and isolate the line before cutting, flaring, or connecting the tube. Use appropriate stainless-compatible tube cutters and deburring tools to ensure clean ends before fitting compression or flare connections. Avoid mixing dissimilar metals at connection points without proper isolation to prevent galvanic corrosion.
