The VALUE COLLECTION -94657-1 is a 6-32 x 5/16 inch pan head Phillips machine screw manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It features a UNC (Unified National Coarse) thread form and is measured length-under-head, meaning the 5/16 inch length does not include the head height. The pan head profile offers a wide bearing surface and low-profile dome, making it well suited for fastening sheet metal panels, electrical enclosures, and equipment covers. This screw is installed without a washer. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and general trade professionals routinely use fasteners of this type for panel assembly, equipment mounting, and control-box work.
This fastener is appropriate for light-duty mechanical assembly in both residential and commercial trade applications. The 6-32 thread size is one of the most common small-diameter machine screw sizes used in electrical panels, junction boxes, control boards, and equipment enclosures. The 18-8 stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for indoor and moderately humid environments. It is commonly used wherever a non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant fastener is required in a threaded hole or with a matching nut.
Designed as a standard 6-32 UNC machine screw suitable for use in any threaded hole, tapped plate, or hex nut accepting a 6-32 thread in electrical, HVAC, and mechanical assembly applications.
This fastener is installed by hand or with a Phillips screwdriver or power driver fitted with the appropriate bit. Verify the mating thread or nut is also 6-32 UNC before installation. When fastening into electrical enclosures or control panels, de-energize the equipment and follow applicable NEC requirements before beginning work. Avoid over-torquing small-diameter screws into tapped holes, as 18-8 stainless can gall when driven against stainless-threaded inserts.
