The VALUE COLLECTION 93784 is a split lock washer sized for 7/8 inch screws and fasteners, manufactured from 18-8 stainless steel. Split lock washers apply tension under a fastener head or nut to resist loosening caused by vibration and thermal cycling. The helical split design bites into the mating surface as the fastener is tightened, creating a mechanical lock. With an inside diameter range of 0.878 to 0.894 inches and a maximum outside diameter of 1.459 inches, this washer fits standard 7/8 inch fastener assemblies. At 0.219 inches thick, it provides consistent spring force without adding excessive stack height. Plumbers, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and electricians use split lock washers throughout mechanical and electrical installations where fastener retention is critical.
This washer is suited for use in residential and light commercial mechanical systems, electrical panel assemblies, equipment mounting, and general structural fastening applications. It is commonly used wherever a 7/8 inch fastener is subject to vibration or repeated thermal expansion and contraction. The 18-8 stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for mildly corrosive environments, including outdoor equipment, HVAC condensing units, pump assemblies, and wet-area plumbing connections.
Designed as a standard split lock washer for use with 7/8 inch screw and bolt fasteners in inch-measurement fastener assemblies.
Install this washer between the fastener head or nut and the mating surface before tightening to the specified torque for the fastener grade in use. Ensure the mating surfaces are clean and free of debris to allow the split ends to seat properly. Power down or de-energize equipment before servicing fastened assemblies in electrical or HVAC applications. Follow applicable codes, including NEC for electrical installations and IFGC or IPC for mechanical piping, when using hardware in those systems.
