The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-273 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling operations across a wide range of metalworking applications. Manufactured from high speed steel (HSS), this tool features a 0.0800-inch mill diameter, a 0.2400-inch length of cut, and a 0.0400-inch nose radius. The two-flute, right-hand cutting geometry with a variable helix angle of 35 to 40 degrees supports both roughing and finishing passes in a single tool. The bright, uncoated finish is suitable for general-purpose use across a broad spectrum of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and toolroom operators install this type of end mill on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This ball end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, and slot milling on a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The 0.0800-inch diameter makes it particularly appropriate for fine-detail work, small-radius pockets, and tight-tolerance contoured surfaces in precision machining environments. The straight-cylindrical shank diameter of 0.1875 inches (3/16 inch) fits standard collet and end mill holder configurations. This is a Series 858 tool with standard length classification and a 1.5000-inch overall length.
Designed for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The 0.1875-inch straight-cylindrical shank is compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders sized for 3/16-inch shanks on CNC and manual milling equipment.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
