The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-268 is a single-end ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in a wide range of metalworking applications. Built from high speed steel (HSS), this tool features a 0.0550-inch mill diameter, a 0.1650-inch length of cut, and a 1.5-inch overall length. The 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank provides secure tool holding in standard collets and chucks. With a variable helix angle of 35 to 40 degrees and a 2-flute spiral configuration, this end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing passes. The bright uncoated finish keeps the tool ready to run as delivered. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC operators working in job shops or maintenance environments are the primary users.
This end mill is rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. Its small diameter and ball nose geometry make it well suited for contour milling, profiling, and slotting in tight geometries. The Series 858 designation places it within a standard-length product line commonly stocked for general-purpose machining. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC machining center setups.
Designed as a standard-length single-end ball end mill compatible with 3/16-inch collets and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Suitable for workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials.
This tool is installed and changed by machinists or CNC operators — always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention mechanism according to the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as runout has an outsized effect on small-diameter end mills. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
