The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-234 is a cobalt 2-flute ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in a wide range of metalworking applications. Built to Series 857 standards, it features a 0.0550-inch mill diameter, a 0.0830-inch length of cut, and a 1.5000-inch overall length. The 0.0275-inch nose radius provides accurate ball-end profiling for contoured surfaces and detail work. The bright/uncoated finish and variable helix angle (35 to 40 degrees) support both roughing and finishing passes. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a straight-cylindrical shank and stub-length profile, suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring tight-tolerance small-diameter tooling.
This end mill is suited for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The cobalt construction provides elevated heat resistance compared to standard high-speed steel, making it appropriate for harder workpiece materials and higher-demand cutting conditions. The 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch) straight shank fits standard collet systems commonly found in vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The stub-length configuration reduces deflection risk when working in tight features or shallow cavities.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 3/16-inch straight collets. Rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, N, S, and H.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before installing or removing tooling. Insert the shank fully into the collet to the recommended gauge length and torque the collet nut per the collet manufacturer specifications. At this diameter, proper runout inspection with a dial indicator is strongly recommended before production use to prevent premature tool failure or dimensional error.
