The Value Collection 934-000-225 is a cobalt ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built to Series 857 specifications, it features a 0.0100-inch mill diameter and a 0.0150-inch length of cut, making it well-suited for fine-detail work and tight-tolerance contouring. The 2-flute geometry and variable helix angle of 35 to 40 degrees support both roughing and finishing passes. The bright, uncoated cobalt construction delivers thermal resistance and edge hardness, giving the tool durability across a range of demanding workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. Its stub-length profile and 0.1250-inch straight cylindrical shank make it appropriate for close-clearance setups on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where minimal tool overhang is critical for accuracy. The single-end configuration and right-hand cutting and flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups.
Designed for use with steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. Fits any tool holder or collet accepting a 0.1250-inch straight cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety protocols. Secure the 0.1250-inch shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in e-stop before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the 0.0150-inch length of cut, as tool deflection and breakage risk increase significantly at this diameter.
