The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-198 is a square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and general-purpose machining applications. Ground from high speed steel (HSS), this stub-length end mill features a 0.045-inch cutting diameter and a 0.067-inch length of cut, making it well suited for tight-tolerance slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes in confined areas. The 2-flute geometry supports efficient chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter during light-duty passes. The bright, uncoated finish is appropriate for general HSS applications where coating is not required.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and precision benchtop milling machines where a small-diameter, stub-length tool is needed. The single-end design and right-hand cutting direction make it a direct fit for standard right-hand spindle setups. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into workpieces. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and precision machining shops working with aluminum, mild steel, brass, and similar materials will find this tool suitable for detail work and small-feature cutting.
Designed as a general-purpose stub-length square end mill compatible with standard collet and end mill holder systems accepting a 0.1875-inch (3/16-inch) shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following safe tooling change procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or placed in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder to the recommended engagement depth and torque the drawbar or collet nut per the machine manufacturer's specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, particularly given the small diameter of this tool, as excessive runout can cause premature tool breakage.
