The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-057 is a cobalt square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding shop environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this double-end tool offers a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) cutting diameter with a 3/16 inch length of cut and a 40-degree helix angle. The bright uncoated finish suits applications where coating compatibility is a concern or where regrinding is expected. With four flutes and a centercutting geometry, it handles both slotting and plunge operations. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die shops are the primary users, though it sees regular use in general machining and prototype work.
This end mill is suited for close-tolerance milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. The double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired or reground. With a 3/16 inch straight shank and 2-1/4 inch overall length, it fits standard collet systems and ER-style toolholders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. The Series 547 regular-length configuration is appropriate for standard-depth pockets and slots where extended reach is not required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for machining setups requiring a 3/16 inch straight-shank, 1/16 inch diameter square end mill in Series 547 regular-length configuration.
This tool is installed by machinists in collet chucks or ER-style toolholders torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify runout at the cutting edge after installation to protect the small-diameter cutting geometry from premature breakage. At 1/16 inch diameter, feeds and speeds should be set conservatively to avoid deflection or tool fracture.
