The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-034 is a cobalt ball end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, this double-end stub mill measures 1/32 inch (0.0313 inch) in diameter with a 3/64 inch (0.0468 inch) length of cut and a 2-inch overall length. The ball nose geometry enables contour milling, profiling, and finish work on curved and complex surfaces. With a variable helix angle of 35 to 40 degrees and two right-hand spiral flutes, it balances cutting efficiency with surface finish quality. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and carries a bright/uncoated finish suited to a wide range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The double-end design extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends, making it a practical choice for tool rooms, job shops, and production environments. Its 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The stub length type provides added rigidity for small-diameter work where deflection is a concern.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for applications requiring a 1/32 inch diameter ball end mill with a 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank, fitting standard collet and end mill holder systems in that shank size.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and power locked out. Seat the 3/16 inch shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware per the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges before use; do not run a chipped or damaged tool. At 1/32 inch diameter, minimal runout is critical — verify TIR at setup to avoid premature tool failure.
