The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-032 is a cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations in ferrous and abrasive materials where high-speed steel tooling falls short. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it offers improved heat and wear resistance compared to standard M2 HSS. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life per unit. With an 11/64-inch cutting diameter and a 17/64-inch length of cut, this is a stub-length tool suited for short-reach applications where rigidity matters. It features a 2-flute spiral flute geometry with a 40-degree helix angle, right-hand cut and flute direction, and a centercutting tip that allows plunge entry as well as side milling.
This end mill is used in manual and CNC milling machines for slotting, profiling, and light pocket milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials. The stub length and 3/16-inch shank diameter suit toolholders and collets in benchtop mills, knee mills, and compact CNC machining centers. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where cutting fluid is used to manage heat and chip evacuation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals select stub-length end mills when minimizing deflection is critical to dimensional accuracy.
Designed for use in standard milling machine collets and toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Compatible with manual knee mills, benchtop milling machines, and CNC machining centers with appropriate collet or end mill holder capacity.
Installation of end mills should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the full depth recommended for the collet or holder being used to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter before engaging the cut.
