The VALUE COLLECTION 934-000-015 is a cobalt ball end mill designed for material removal in milling operations requiring both roughing and finishing passes. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel, it provides increased heat and wear resistance compared to standard HSS tooling. The double-end design delivers two usable cutting ends per tool, extending service life. Key cutting geometry includes a 0.0781-inch (5/64 inch) mill diameter, a 15/64-inch length of cut, a 35-40 degree variable helix angle, and a center-cutting configuration that allows plunge entry. The bright, uncoated finish is suitable across a broad range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, manual knee mills, and CNC milling operations where small-diameter ball profiling is required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials. The straight-cylindrical shank mounts in standard collet chucks or end mill holders sized for 3/16-inch shanks. It is commonly used in tool and die work, mold machining, and general precision part manufacturing where contoured or radius-bottom features are required.
Designed for use with standard 3/16-inch collet chucks and end mill holders. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, high-temperature alloys, and hardened materials as specified by the manufacturer for Series 541 tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using a collet chuck or end mill holder sized for a 3/16-inch straight shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter end mills. Follow shop safety protocols and machine manufacturer guidelines for RPM and feed rate selection based on workpiece material and depth of cut.
